Tonight I ran to the grocery store to get some milk and did a double take as I was walking in. They had a sign on the door saying they were hiring cake decorators! I was so excited until I saw the fine print...."Must have at least 1 year experience."

So out of curiosity, how does one gain that experience if noone will hire you without it? It reminds me of the no car/no job loop.

Gosh! I just looked at your pictures and your cakes look like you have at least one year or more experience of decorating!
Are you wanting to apply for the job? If you are I would think you could easily show them your cake portfolio and get hired on the spot. Your pictures are proof of the experience you do have. Go for it! thumbs_up.gif

I have to say I agree as well. You could EASILY do the job and get the job hands down if you applied. If they didn't take you they'd be idiots!!
