I use the Wilton 1/2 and 1/2 bc, and I end up using AT LEAST 2 batches for 9" and 10" for the icing and decorations -- more if I'm using bc with filling. I do enjoy a little more frosting, but I'm trying to figure out how to make this cost effective. But, even when I try to be conservative with the icing, I just seem to always need that extra batch. When I'm doing a 1/3 sheet (11x15), I end up using at least 3.

So, how much icing are you using? Am I just letting my own love of the stuff get the better of me? icon_rolleyes.gif

When I make my 12x15 sheet cake, I use a double batch of the crusting butercream to ice and decorate. Does that help at all? icon_smile.gif I love icing too, don't feel bad. icon_smile.gif
