Hello, fellow cakers! icon_smile.gif

I am baking my second wedding cake...14"-10"-6"...and want to purchase a silver cake plateau for presentation.

Questions...Do you know of a cake supply shop that carries cake plateaus in L.A.? I have spent too much time cruising the internet looking for one. icon_confused.gif I want to be able to see it in person, rather than guessing from a little photo on-line. I am reluctant to buy from ebay in case of quality/return issues...plus, if I can pick one up, I will save on shipping (though possibly pay in time and traffic!).

Also, I will be placing gum-paste calla lilies around the bottom edge, so I need some extra space. Would a 20" or 22" plateau be too big for balanced presentation? If I purchased a larger plateau, I would have it on hand to display a larger cake or cupcakes in the future.

I would LOVE some experienced advice! Thank you!
