I have a customer that wants a dissected frog cake for her birthday. She is a biology teacher. Does anyone have any ideas on where to start? icon_cry.gif

Wow! What a cool idea!! I hate animal dissection in real life, but in a cake it would be cool. I found a pic of one http://homepage.mac.com/eliezersilver/iblog/B828340566/C400897704/E679119/Media/DSCF1250.jpg Good luck and post pics

Wow, that'll be a gross one to make. Here's what you get at Google Images. Yuck.

Wow! What a crazy cake. I wonder how many "it tastes like chicken!" jokes will be told. Or how many - I'll just have a piece of the leg. LOL

That would be AWESOME to make. I'm officially jealous. :p

Do it in fondant so you can have the "skin" peeled back to reveal the insides. Make a scalpel and a pair of tweezers from gumpaste to place on the cake board. Don't make it too realistic, but there has to be some level of "eeeeeew" to make it cool. icon_lol.gif

My brother teaches biology. I think he would LOVE a cake like this. Too bad I'm not that talented! icon_wink.gif

OK... this is funny! I think I want to make one as a joke for my Mom. She hates... and I mean HATES frogs. When I was in 7th or 8th grade (whenever it is that you dissect frogs)... I brought mine home from school and stuck it in the fridge to mess with her. She freaked out! I was a really obnoxious teenager. icon_redface.gif Anyway... this would be a funny cake to make, but of course I'd make her a real cake too. One that's actually pretty.

I would go for more fun, less yuck. Make the whole table area, with the tools, yet make the froggy escaping off of the side of the cake.
