I've enclosed a picture of the cake I am going to make. This will be my first tiered cake. The design looks simple enough. I've been looking at the stars on the cake and I think they would be much more easy to make than the fondant stars. I also think they look better. Might anyone have an idea of the type of material used to make them? Also, what do you think was used to attach the stars to the stems (floral wire)???

Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

I'm sure it's floral wire which you can get in silver and it looks like metallic paper stars.

agreed on the floral wire....

also if you can find them in the right sizes, you could get foil star stickets and stick them back to back!

good luck
