topsy turvy to serve 110.... what size cakes would you do? my thought was 14 10 6 but wouldn't that only give me about 100?? not sure what to do here
this is from the wilton chart i think that there is another chart where the servings are bigger
Round 2 layer 2" deep
6" 12 servings
8" 24 servings
9" 32 servings
10" 38 servings
12" 56 servings
14" 78 servings
16" 100 servings
I hope this helps
yea 103 according to earlene's chart. Maybe you could just cut a few pieces a little smaller to get the extra 7 servings? I know earlene says a 6" feeds 8 but I've cut it for 10 before. I'm sure you can get a few extra servings out of the other two cakes too. Not to mention there are others out there that use a much smaller serving size and would say that this cake will feed more 103. I'm not sure what chart they're using though.
thanks.. I'm not going to be doing the cutting... So I guess I can either go with the 14-10-6 and hope they have enough or should I give them and additional 6in cake for the back??
really I think they should have enough, it's a sweet 16 party and 110 is the count but not everyone eats cake right??
Yea you're in a tough spot, it's near impossible to add another tier or do a different size that will look right. If you're really concerned, I would make a little 6" cake. I think that's a great idea!
