I have ben asked what I would charge to cut and serve one of my wedding cakes. I have never been asked this before.

Does anyone have ideas or suggestions on how to price this service?

TIA

Depends on if you WANT to do it. I tell people I will do it for $20 per hour with an hour minimum. (no half-hour for $10 crud! hehe!) The way I see it, my time is that valuable. I could be making other cakes or more importantly, spending time with my family!

I have cut and served 99% of the wedding cakes I have done. I don't charge for this. It's enough to be able to say "Thank you" when someone comments on how beautiful the cake is. I have also gotten orders just from being the one that created it and the person coming through the line was able to talk to me directly.

Just be sure to check with the venue where the wedding is..........I was asked to cut a cake, when I was setting up the cake I told the woman setting up the room I'd be back to cut it. She informed me that the restaurant/venue did not allow "non-employees" to cut/serve the cake.
