What Are You Using To Get The Cake Out Of The Pan?

You say you never get your cakes out cleanly, ever? We need to figure out why...what exactly are you doing, or not doing?
I use the Wilton's cake release...never had a problem. I just spread it around using a pastry brush. Use Wilton pans....never had a problem. Take them out and let them cool IN the pan on a rack for about 10-15 min. and then flip them right out onto the cooling rack. Good luck!
Same here, I have never had a problem with Wilton's Cake Release - however I tried their spray release and it was awful. My daughter loves to paint the inside of my pans when she helps me bake.
Homemade cake release with wax paper on the bottom--never had a problem. Wilton's Cake Release (non spray) works wonderfully also!
Hi, I always line my cake pans. Once the cake is baked, I let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then turn it over on to a cooling rack. So you don't need any knives or anything at all.
