Hi, I've searched but still can't figure out how the glasses don't sink into the cake. I've seen some people use a glass plate under the glasses but I don't want to use that. I want the look of fondant covered cake then put the glasses on.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

If you put the glasses this way up all you have to do is dowel where each glass is going to sit. I put 3 dowels in a triangle shape under each glass in this cake and had no problems at all

Sugarchic, i did a grooms cake where a 8in was sitting on top of a Martini glass and what i did was used a cake board and i cut it down to the size of the bottom of the glass and then i put dowel rods under that iced over it a little and put the glass on top and viloa it stuck like glue, but to hide everything else i used tux strawberries and leaned them against the stem of the glass i only used one though
