Hi,

My mom's 60th birthday is coming up in 10 days and I would like to make her a 2-tier birthday cake. Her favorite flower is a poppy. Does anyone have instructions on how to make gumpaste poppies. Thanks.

Hi, here is a link from a site in UK. Just wanted to show you the cutter,

http://www.almondart.com/acatalog/Flowers_PWC.html

You can either emboss the flower on the fondant covered cake and colour it later, or you can cut the flower out and paste it on the cake.

If you have Lindy Smith's "Celebrate with cakes", have a look in there, she has done a Teapot cake with the Poppy Flower on it.

HTH.
