The Scenario:
Jodie buys 3 little 2 gram containers of Old Gold Luster Dust at the cake decorating store. She makes the 50th anniversary cake over the weekend and uses 1 1/2 containers of dust to paint all that fondant lace. The others are left on the dining room table, because that's where you keep all the cake decorating stuff you're not using at the moment, right?
Fast forward to Monday night. Jodie is out shopping. The DH is watching the hockey game. Beau the adorable Shih Tzu is in the crate chewing away. It's a weird noise. It doesn't sound like he's chewing on a rawhide. The DH goes to investigate and starts laughing. We can only assume the cat knocked one of the little containers of dust off the dining room table because this is what the DH found. Isn't he pretty?????? ![]()

Oh my!! How beautiful.... ![]()
Aww Beau reminds me of my old Tommy dog from when I was a kid!
OMG!! That is sooo funny! Looks like something my dog would do!! This one's a keeper story and picture!!!! hahahahahaha! ![]()

Cakepro...guess you'd better never eat one of my cakes then.
All I wanted to do was share a cute picture to make folks smile. The only things on my dining room table were the closed bottles of dust, a sealed container of fondant and a can of Bakers Joy. I am very careful with my cakes and pets. I don't bake for the general public. I bake for my friends and family, and they know I have pets.
So much for a fun thread.
That is so funny
.
Although, it does remind me of an episode of Cops where they caught this guy huffing gold paint behind a dumpster. The man denied it, until he looked in the mirror. His face was covered with gold spray paint. ![]()
Of course I'm not saying your dog has a problem, but the cat seems to be the pusher man
. Watch them close Mama! ![]()
What a cute pic!!!! And a really funny story.
Thanks!
Cute, you should make it into a X-mas card.
Cute . . . when my husband and I were first married we lived in a small apartment with no storage space. I kept boxes of cake mix, jell-o, pudding mixes, etc. in a rolling storage container that had bins. We came home one night to find a trail of jell-o and pudding powder on the kitchen floor. Our schnauzer had ripped open several packages and his white "beard" was a rainbow of colors - and stiff as a board. I wish I'd taken a picture. What a mess!
The others are left on the dining room table, because that's where you keep all the cake decorating stuff you're not using at the moment, right?
LOL! Of course that's where cake stuff is stored! Oh, and where clean clothes are dumped until the kids fold and stow, because that's what kids are for right?! ![]()
I can also TOTALLY relate to having a dog who chews stuff she shouldn't. My pug eats everything! I can only imagine what she would do with luster dust if given a chance. She'd probably roll in it!
Cute story.
He's a sweetheart of a boy. He sleeps on his back all the time, just like a baby! But, he's a chewer. I think he's chewed all the tips off our shoe laces, he loves to tear up paper of any kind and he ate the corner off my Grandmother's end table! But, he's so cute it's hard to be mad at him.
Here he is without his pretty gold decoration!
Cute! Thanks for making me laugh out loud. I needed it ![]()
