Fondant On Whipped Buttercream

Can fondant accents be applied to a cake iced w/ Whipped Buttercream, like WBH buttercream or the Whipped Cream Buttercream here on CC? http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-2019-135-Whipped-Cream-Buttercream-Frosting.html
Also, could a cake iced in this type of buttercream be totally covered w/ fondant?
Hi Dandelion56602:
I Believe you could cover a cake dresses in whipped buttercreme with fondant. you cold also add the accents in fondant. I don't see why they wouldn't stay. I've done it on regular buttercreme so I don't hink there would be much difference. Post us some pics when you're done.
Dandelion,
Yes! I use the WBH recipe and I add fondant accents without any problems. I do put the fondant on the cake after I have let the cake sit in the fridge a bit.
Hope this helps!! ![]()
Thanks. It's will help in the future. The girl decided to go w/ a regular buttercream, which I've had success applying accents to, just didn't know about the whipped type
