I have a kindergartener and the teacher asked me to make cookies or something to celebrate the 50 days of school.
The kindergarten teachers are having the kids dress up in 50s style clothes.
I do have number cutters but I've already send in numbers for show and tell and I've done initials for them too so I'm not sure I want to do that.
This is a very small class, with the teacher and the aide there are 13 people so I don't need something big.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Sorry, I don't have an idea, but our school always did the first 100 days.
Dressing up in the fifties sounds cute.
Here are my 2 cents...
-What about decorating the cookies as records and writing the the number 50 on it.
-poodle cookies
HTH good luck!
I love the poodle cookies idea--do kindergarteners even know what records are? Sadly my 10 year old didn't know what they were until I showed her one! Yikes I feel old!

Very good point, my kid would probably think it was a CD. I know that when my oldest child started kindergarten he came home all excited about that cool new thing at school, it was a cassette tape.
I don't have a poodle cutter or anything like it.
Does anyone have any cake or cupcake ideas? I know she wouldn't care if I brought in something different.
You could do as some have said,
1. the record
2. the poodle...those are great ideas also.
You could also do a cookie shaped like,
3. a saddle shoe
4. a leather jacket
5. a jukebox
6. a ice cream soda or root beer float
7. a classic 50's car
8. the poodle skirt and top
You could find pictures of these things, print them out for your template. Because you won't have to make a lot cookies, you could do a mix of some of things.
Hope this can help, good luck.
God Bless,
Sharon
