Everyone loved the cake. It got some laughs too. One of my friends walked in and said it was just like Ace of Cakes...give me a break! Ha ha. Since I had to smoosh down the ghost to get it in the fridge it ended up looking more like a stump. So I served the cake with a small pumpkin on the stump.

The cake was so good. I used a Kahlua mousse filling. YUM!
I did learn another lesson. If you cut half of the tapered cake and leave the other half sitting on a pedestal cake plate...be prepared for cake on the counter. About a quarter of the cake flopped on the counter. Oh well!!! We still ate it.

I didn't read all of the post so someone may have already said this but it reminds me of Ghostbusters. Totally cute!

I've got mascara tears streaming down my face! I can SO relate to starting with one thing in mind only to have things go down hill, gaining momentum as they go.

While the story was really funny, the cake wasn't so bad. It's times like these that I think of Pee Wee Herman in Pee Wee's Big Adventure when he tried to do a trick on his bike and fell down. I can hear him saying, "I meant to do that"!!

As long as you're having fun, then everything is going to be OK.
