Baking Powder In Action...pls Help

Hello CC friends..
ok I've not done many cupcakes but would like to do so...I'm trying to do Hersheys Choco Cake recipe into Cup cakes ..is it ok...?OK here is my doubt..In this recipe Boiling H2O used..My concern is would Baking powder action be done if the batter is kept out side for a while cos I can't make the whole recipe at once it will take 3-4 batches..or should I do half the recipe at once...
One more ques..how many cupcake can one make from one calling of this recipe..?

There's different theories about this type of leavening. I do not like to make up more than two baking loads at a time. For example one load would be in the oven the other would be waiting to go in as soon as that one comes out.

Other people would refrigerate the batter that I would leave on the counter.

Other people would make the batter and freeze it or refrigerate it for days and then bake it.

I mean you are in India? The differences between our locations alone would pretty much disqualify any of my advice, know what I mean?

The recipe would make at least 24 but I'm not sure about the exact amount.
