I live in a really small town. I have 2 stores. 1 is a grocery store the other is a dollar store. I looked in both places and I can not find the candies I need to make chocolate frosting. The recipe calls for the chocolate disk things that you can melt. I wanted to make chocolate frosting because when I mix white frosting with brown I only get a really light brown color. I need a dark brown to make the hair on my wolf cupcakes.. Any help or suggestions??

Thanks,
Trisha

The icing recipe on the side of the Hershey Cocoa can is pretty good. I use it for filling, icing and borders. Haven't tried it for roses or anything, though.

Mine is 2 sticks butter, 2 lbs ps, 6 heaping tblsp cocoa powder. Mix all these and thin with milk (or water works too). It is pretty dark, but you can control the shade by the amt of cocoa powder that you add.
