I am making a cake to bring to my daughter (8 hour car drive). We will be driving tomorrow so I have to do cake today. Plan to eat it on Saturday. (I know - we are stretching it.) Plan to ice it with buttercream. So, if I pub Smucher's Simply Fruit Strawberry spread between the layers, will it require refrigeration.

As usual, I waited till the eleventh hour to post my question so if someone can please give me a quick answer I would much appreciate it.

TIA.

It definately does NOT need refrigeration. It will be just fine that length of time.

no you don't have to refrig it, the jelly will be just fine, are you using real buttercream? It wouldn't hurt to refrig it if you are.
