Do you guys do contracts for party cakes? I do a LOT of party cakes and I have never done a contract for them but today a customer cancelled TWO DAYS before her cake was due! It's aggravating and I was just wondering if you guys did a contract for smaller orders.
Thanks for any input!

I don't but I'm sure others do. I do have on my website that any cakes need a three day cxl or they still have to pay for the cake, I've not had this happen yet! *knock on wood* LOL

Every cake that goes out my door has a contract. I mail them out to clients who can't come to my home to fill them out and I include a self addressed stamped envelope for them to return the signature pages with their retainer or full payment depending on the time line. I don't bake unless a cake is paid in full. I refuse to chase down money after the fact or spend money out of pocket to make someone's cake.
