Hi everyone:
I have been lurking around here for the past few months, ever since I offered to make a friend's wedding cake. I have made one before, but about 4 years ago, so this seems like the first one!! Anyway, I have gotten so much great information on this site (and I'm completely addicted) and I wanted to say thank you and share my cake.
Thanks so much everyone!!
Wow is that BC icing?? very smooth if it is, give me a lesson(:Great cake by the way love the colors
thanks for the nice comments. It's SMBC. The stuff is so easy to work with!!
Does it taste good? Im all about taste
SMBC is amazing! And you can do just about anything to it. I used it for the grooms cake as well, just added melted chocolate. This past weekend, I made a chocolate cake with SMBC that I added peanut butter to and then topped it with a poured ganache!! It is really versatile and delicious!!

Can you use Coco powder in it ?? to make chocolate
I don't know about that but I'll bet you can find that information on here. There was just recently a thread all about SMBC, it is pages and pages long. I just used melted bittersweet chocolate. I think I had a recipe that made about 4 cups of frosting and I put in about 4 oz. of melted chocolate. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a very light brown color, next time I will probably try to use a little brown food coloring.
Hi everyone,
This cake is beautiful! What is SMBC? Some kind of buttercream that I have not heard of. If anyone can help me with a recipe , I would love it.
Thanksyou!
