Hi, its best if you can add gumpaste to the fondant. You need to add 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. icon_smile.gif

Hello, I just add a bit of gumtex to the fondant then do my shaping...let it dry, hope that helps...

I did a cake with stars on wires and I used just MMF and nothing added. I cut them out and let them dry for a few days and they worked just fine without adding tylose etc.

When I add items to wires I use a 70/70 mixture so that I know they will dry hard. Don't want issue when I transport the cake. Good Luck

I recommend not transporting the cake with the stars in the cake, put them in at the location!

I agree.... transporting with the wires in place could cause them to slip and tear your fondant or make a mess of your bc.

I also just add a bit of gumtex to my fondant so they dry hard. Just make sure you allow them to dry out for a couple of days.
