looking for unique idea for a sheetcake that has a cross on it. anyone have pic? i looked in galleries and couldnt find anything i liked. want to really make it great. for a boys baptism.

I am not sure how prominate you want the cross but, i was thinking that the outfit is also important for the event as well. maybe you could work that into the cake make a small soft blue cross on it.

I love the outfit idea. Or how about making some gumpaste roses/rose buds dusted lightly with blue petal/luster dust (or coloring the paste blue). You could lay them on the cake in the shape of a cross. I think that would be pretty, too.

Wilton did this cool thing with a stacked cake, so I am sure it would work with a sheet cake as well. They used their cross pan and poured candy inside and then stood it up on the cake. There is a great pic of it in their new year book. HTH Good luck!
