I am making a cake for a end of summer party later this week and loved the look of this cake...I was figuring the sky was done by airbrushing, however I do not have an airbrush...any ideas of another way to achieve the look...would shimmer dust work???? Also does anyone know of a place to purchase candy molds that has a good variety of molds?? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

In the new Wilton yearbook, it describes a great way to do clouds. But, you have to buy the ColorMist spray by Wilton. It's sort of like airbrush in a can. Very affordable (I would say a buck or two). I can get it at the grocery store. Anyway, it says "use paper towel wide enough to cover width of cake. Tear paper towel in half horizontally to create rough scallops. Place one cut side of paper towel up slightly below top edge of cake and spray Color Mist (Blue) along torn edge. Repeat process, moving towel down 1-1/2 in. each time, until entire surface is covered with cloud effect.

You know, I think Betty Crocker has sprays to. There at the grocery store in the food isle that has the cake mixes and the little section of candles and such. You just control the look by spraying alittle or alot. The paper towel method looks good too. Just make sure you spray lightly, like a mist.

I found the Wilton sprays the clearance aisle at my Michael's last week! So of course I bought one of each color 
Can't wait to use one of them!
I used that spray last week to make sky, it looked great! Just make sure you move the paper towel left to right a little each time you move it down, so you don't have exactly the same cloud on each row.
I have also used the wilton's color mist and it works great...you just have to put a towel or something under it...because the spray goes everywhere...
I used the Wilton spray on the flip flop cake in my photos. Quick & easy!
