I am having trouble with my gumpaste sticking and staying together in the joints. First I made a football helmet grill. It broke at the joints. Now I make football goal post and it is breaking at teh joints. Used my claygun to make tubes and then attacked with gumpaste glue. My glue is pretty thick and tacky. I need some advice on how to make these things work.

Try using egg white as your glue. It is super strong. I think you will have much better results. Perhaps your thick glue is corroding out the joins of your gumpaste pieces and instead of bonding them, the glue is actually weakening them.

When I have joints that will bear weight, I always put a small piece of spaghetti in and use gum glue (tylose in water).
