I like how this cake looks 'tufted' around the buttons on the pillow. Anyone know how to do that? I'd LOVE to know!

I think you dig small impressions where you want to place the buttons, then when covering with fondant, use a toothpick or other impression tool to impress the fondant with the "tuft" marks. Shade it with dust or other color.
