My son is a BIG Patriots fan and I was thinking for his birthday next month I would make a cake that resembles the Patriot Jersey and that is where the pro's come in. I assume I would make the back part of the jersey with rectangle pan, but for the sleeve area would I use a loaf pan and cut it in half and attach to the rectangle? When it comes to the icing would I use the Fondant or Buttercream? The numbers and the player's name I know that I will use fondant definately to give it the smooth look.
Any advice that can be given would be great, I still have about 2 1/2 weeks to get the cake done.

Thanks.

Your idea is just fine. The loaf 'sleeve' is not cut straight but on an angle so it fits to the body better. You can use either b'c or fon as you wish.
Unless.......you want to buy a t-shirt panicon_smile.gif

Thanks for the information. Would Wilton carry the T-shirt pan or do you know of another supplier?
