My DD is wanting a cake that requires me to sculpt some kittens out of rice krispies. Is there any advice or suggestions you have for a first timer?
I will do some practices ones. Her party isnt till Oct. (it will be a halloween theme) so I have lots of time to practice LOL
Thanks in advance for you help.

Keep the rice krispies on a low heat or under a heat lamp while sculpting the smaller batches.
Grease your hands with crisco to prevent it from sticking to your hands.
I have scuplted with rice krispies many time if you look in my pics you'll see the longhorn hand (Hooke'm) sign thats out of rice krispies and the baby bassinet(Clarks Cake) and many other thing but my advice is to play. what I like to do is try and make what I want and when it get to the point that the RK or to cold I just put the RK in a big zip lock bag reheat the in the mico and start again my RK seem to get harder as I reheat and they hold their shape better you can ice with butter cream the cover with fondant once you get what you want.
