The sites that have already been posted are awesome. One of my favorites lately has been the Bakerella site.

I am typing this from my phone and it won't let me post the URL but if you just google "bakerella" you'll see it.

for recipes i like

www.cupcakeblog.com - but it has closed down although all recipes are still available.

www.cupcakeproject.com - love the recipes and the woman running it is so funny!

the only "foodie blog" I visit is

www.smittenkitchen.com - she is funny, she tells you what went wrong with a certain recipe, she tells you how good a recipe is and mainly I go here because of two words: FOOD PORN! Her pictures are AMAZING! seriously. go. there. now.

I love all the above for recipes also, but I think my favorite is Cupcake Hero. Each month they have a contest using a specific ingredient and all the entrants recipes are featured along with the winner. You can go forever just clicking on links from there and the recipes I have tried so far are just super. A picture of each cupcake is also posted and I like seeing what they should look like.

My absolute favorite for cc pictures and ideas is Flickr photo streams. The talent is just amazing, and most are willing to share techniques and recipes. I have folders full of pictures and ideas---what fun!!!!

How do you get the swirl to not be so loose? Does that make sense? Just move your wrist or don't move your wrist? Thanks meemaw! icon_biggrin.gif

Michelle, Wilton has a tip No 172 that is a much smaller zig zag (if that makes sense lol) that you could do this with.

Michelle,

I'm thinking you would have to use the star tip with the finest zigzag end and then let it build a little before moving it. I'm not sure without trying it but I believe that's the way they did. Maybe someone on here will know for sure. icon_biggrin.gif
