Help With Timing

I have a cake order for a party on Saturday and they want to pick it up on Friday about 6pm. Problem is I work all day friday...would it be ok to decorate it on Thrusday night??? would it still be fresh on Saturday?? I am making a 3D rubber duck, egg-free chocolate cake with buttercream icing sitting on a 10inch round covered in fondant.

I think it will be fine!!! I have never made an egg-free cake before but I don't think you will have any problems.

Definately! You can't refrigerate fondant anyway so you are good to go. The fondant acts as a seal for the bc/cake. It will be fine!!
