I am currently taking Wilton Course 3 and our instructor is having us use the Wilton Fondant. All I can say is gross. Does anyone have a comparable substitute or suggestions to make the fondant not taste gross? I don't want to even give the cake away with that stuff on it. What does everyone else use for Fondant?

Ugh...Wilton fondant is foul!!!

I used Michelle Fosters fondant during class, my instructor didn't have any problem with what we used as long as we knew what the "feel" was supposed to be.

You make it at home...it is delicious. You can find the recipe in the recipe section here.

If you dont feel like making it, Satin Ice is a MUCH better fondant than Wilton (anything is better than Wilton) and you can find that at Global Sugar Art or almost any cake supply store.

There's a recipe on here for Michelle Foster's Fondant. Look in the recipe section.

Also, where in Missouri are you?

I love Michelle Fosters Delicious Fondant! It is really easy to make once you have done it once or twice.

HTH!
