Hi guys,

Somebody thought they were doing me a favour by picking up my fondant. I wanted the regular dawn used for cakes but instead they bought SOFT Dawn fondant and I know it's used for doughnuts and pastries but can I do cakes with them by adding powdered suger and or gumtex?
Also the Dawn used for cakes.....Is it the regular or hard that is used for cake covering?
Thanks for your help,
Torte

If by soft fondant you mean the type you warm up and pour or dip items into (it's also used to fill chocolates, such as cherry cordials) then no you cannot turn that into rolled fondant.
