Hey all CCer's im very aggravated this morning , i baked a cake last night for Saturday 3 9in rds, and i baked them at 325 and i tested for doneness and the cake tester came out clean but when i took the tops off they felt sticky kinda doughy, my husband always gets to eat the scraps and he said they tasted doughy, so i let them cool and went ahead and put my icing inbetween the layers and i checked them this morning and they still feel sticky to the touch, i used DH mix i think this is the problem i usually use BC but my DD got them for me, So i think i will have to bake new ones tonight somuch as to reading a book tonight, has this happened to anyone else??
Thanks a lot oh also i added a small box of vanilla pudding mix into the cake mix wonder if this could have been the problem? But i do this all the time ? Thanks All
