Will this cake batter enough to make two 8 x 3 in. round wilton cake pans? If not, can I use the cake extender recipe on this site? I need to make this cake next week and I would rather not use a cake mix. Thanks for the wonderful suggestions and advice I have received in the past from y'all. thumbs_up.gif

That should fill your pans with no problem. icon_smile.gif I have never made it, but looking at the amounts in the recipe it's a bit larger than the double chocolate layer cake from epicurious.com that I use all the time and that one makes enough for three 8" rounds in 2" pans so you should have plenty of batter. icon_smile.gif

I use the "Dark Chocolate Cake" recipe from here and it fills 2 8"s easily. Sorry I can't help you with that particular recipe. Let us know if you like it though. icon_biggrin.gif
