anyone else getting asked to do table cakes cheap.
I was asked about doing 20-25 table cakes. With initials on each and blue pearls and brown ribbon. I made a sample, its in my pictures, and have decided that the time necessary for making the pearls and doing so many cakes 
justified a hirer price. I quoted the bride a price of 25 dollars per cake, I really don't care if I get this order, table cakes take way to much time to price them cheaply. I haven't heard back from the bride yet. Anyone else have experience pricing table cakes?
I love the idea of table cakes, but KNOW it would be a pain!!
But I wouldn't do the cakes for any less than my regular per serving price + maybe 10%. Cover 20-25 board, transporting 20-25 cakes and baking 20-25 cakes - that's a lot of work. And I would limit it to a very simple design.
