Now I hope this doesn't sound bad but I think I like the shorter hair even better!

I have been trying to grow my hair long for the last 15 years (back to back babies did me in and it just seems to crumble or fall out now) and after seeing your beautiful pictures, I am wondering if I am going to finally grow it out someday only to realize I liked it better short, lol.
My daughter wants to donate hers to locks of love too but she is only 9 and still really likes her long hair so I'm not sure she is ready. One of the girls from her school donated 12" and still had hair down to the small of her back........maybe that's what I'll tell my daughter, 'grow your hair out two feet and then you won't be missing anything when you donate one foot of it!' 
I think it's a fantastic organization and you should be so proud of yourself. Not everyone is willing to make that kind of sacrifice. *hugs*

Thanks for thinking of others less fortunate -- I am not trying to highjack your great thread - but my cousin just started treatment today for cancer that has already spread to her brain (she's only 46!) -- and they have already told her she will lose her hair quickly!

I donated my hair too - 3 years ago and i was addicted to to short hair , i cut my hair in the victoria beckham bob and am now letting it grow!!

I was thinking about doing this again, grow it out, cut it off, over and over again, but I can't decide now! My husband told me I should keep it like this all the time because he thinks its so cute LOL...
I felt myself getting teary eyed when she started cutting my ponytails off. So many times I almost changed my mind. hahaha.... what a baby!!
