My sister is doing my wedding cakes. We want my grooms cake to be camo. We have seen different pictures with ideas. Can anyone tell me some ways to get this effect. It will be a 2 tier with a 12x18 sheet on bottom and 11x15 on top.

I have done it with buttercream icing and cream cheese icing before. There is a marine corp birthday cake in my gallery. For the black I always start with chocolate icing.

The way I did it was pipe small mounds of different colored icing all over the cake, let them crust and then take a viva paper towel and smooth them down so they sort of run into each other.

Another option would probably be airbrushing, but I don't do that so I can't help you there!
