Ok so I know a lot of you own bakeries and I read on here all the time that you guys hate when people want to just work there to learn. Well I'm one of those people. lol
I got an internship today. Its an amazing story. I went into this cake supply store one day and was asking about hi ratio shortning. The clerk looked at this guy and asked him about it. He told me what to try and I said ok. I began talking to him and found out his family owns one of the oldest bakeries in my area. I talked to him and told him I was tempted to just walk in there and ask for an internship. I told him I just wanted to learn. He gave me his card and said he would help me.
I went into his shop today and he asked to see my portfolio and I showed him some pictures. He offered me an internship for two days a week or however many days I wanted. I am so happy. I'm finally going to learn what I need to know to be successfull. I am so thankful to him and I will never forget that he gave me a chance. I can't believe that he offered to help and teach me. Can't you guys tell that I'm happy. I cant stop smilling.

I didnt know who else to tell that would be as excited as me. Foxy I went to BakeMark they have amazing stuff. So I go there for almost everything. I'm in western ny. I think that's everyone's answers to all the questions. You guys are so supportive. I will remember this forever. I will pass it on to someone else in the future.
