Can/should I Charge For Ingredients For Hobby Cakes?

Well, I don't know how it couldn't be legal. People make other food items & get reimbursed for ingredients. Think of it this way, You are going grocery shopping for someone & they are paying you for their portion of the groceries. Yes, you bake an item for them w/ the groceries, but it's b/c they don't have the time or talent to do it. I did this all the time when I still lived at home. My mom would give me a check, I went to the grocery, came home, cooked the meal & she even invited people over for dinner. I really don't see how this is different. Yes, I understand laws & such, but just charging for ingredients, or being reimbursed, I don't see how it could be illegal. If you charge above the cost then I can see how you could get into trouble.
