How Many Cups Does Sugarshack's Buttercream Icing Make?

Please help, I need to figue out how many batches I need to cover 5 eight inch double layers; 1 six inch double layer; 1 ten inch double layer; 1 twelve inch double layer... all cakes will be torted and filled...

Well, it would depend on which recipe you are using. There is one for a 4.5, 5 & 6 quart bowl. There are 4 cups in a quart and since you fill the bowl, just multiply your bowl size by 4. So it's either about 18, 20 or 24 cups.

Thank you very much, the recipe I am using is the one with 5 cups shortening and 5 pounds of powder sugar plus 16 TBS of hot liquid... I think the bowl I use is 5qts...

I would make 5-6 but I always make too much!
