Cutting Stacked Tier Cakes

i have never cut a stacked tier cake, and i need help what do i place in between tiers so that the icing does not come off when i remove a top tier? need advice or tutorial on cutting a cake, thanks. icon_sad.gif

When you do stacked cakes, you need to ice ( butter icing/fondant) the cakes on seperate boards. Then you need to dowel the cakes and you can use a little bit of powdered sugar in between the cakes to stop sticking to board. Here are the links from Wilton on how to do a stacked cake.

All these links are from the same site, but Ihave given it as an order, so you can understand easily.

And when you cut the tiered cakes, start from the top tier.
