My sister is getting married July 26th so 3 weeks...
I am making a 4 tier Rice Krispy cake and then 4 satellite cakes that are 8in each. I am taking the entire day Friday to ice and fondant and decorate all the cake...

I was wondering how far in advance can I make the rice krispies and have them still taste good? How should I store them? Plastic wrap? Freezer? I know I can make the real cakes now and freeze them, but I have never worked with rice krispies like this... the kids usually consume them within 2 days so I have never tested how long they stay fresh.

I am going to set the cake up like this one done by a CC member... Do you have anyother advise for a first time wedding cake?

Thanks in advance!

I think you could make the RKT at least a week in advance and wrap tightly in plastic wrap - not so sure about freezing them. Why don't you try and make a small batch and freeze it and see what happens.
