I am making a 14-12-10-8 round stacked butter cream iced wedding cake for this Saturday. The Bride is using a Willow Tree Angel. I found out today that it is not the cake topper, but just a figurine. It is 9" tall and the base varies between 2.5 and 3.75" in diameter. I know I will need to add extra dowels to support it. Will the 9" topper look ok? Should I try to convince her to use it on the table and choose a shorter topper of flowers or something else? Help!
Thanks,
Sue

I have actually had to use willow tree figures twice on cakes of a similar size to yours and it really turned out pretty. The first time a bride brought one in, I was very skeptical. I thought it would look horrible, but I was really wrong. I'm glad her vision of the end result was better than mine in this case!!

I just put a couple of dowels underneath for support.

Good luck!
