I think she posted an update a while back that said she never sent the photos, and the lawyer never drew up the papers. So basically, nothing ever escalated with that!
I'm with the general crowd. Take the cake. It's family. If she doesn't pay you, just call it a gift from her and you. Mention it to her, and that you are quite disappointed, not to be able to make that gorgeous cake, but to be unable hereafter to trust her.
It's ok, Julie, even if you misses a post or two, you're still entitled to express your opinion here.

speaking of having to regulate, what ever happened to the lady who did the big golf bag cake that crashed? the hag-ola that she was dealing with was threatening to sue or something? (wasn't that all before the crash?)

It was bdrider and the golf bag but I can't seem to put the link in so maybe if you search her you will find what happened. Brillaint cake maker she is for such a terrible woman to be bestowed upon her.
