www.picnik.com is a great (free) site too . . .
i use paint.
here's how i do it:
1. click on microsoft paint.
2. click on file and scroll down to "open", click on open.
3. click on a folder...if your picture is in a folder, or just click on the picture.
4. click on the "A"...it's underneath the edit button.
5. there are two pictures that pop up...click on the bottom one.
6. move your cursor over to your picture and left click...if you hold it down while you left click, you can make it as large as you want...this will give you a box to type in.
7. type in your message...you can change the color and font.
8. to change the color...click on any color on the bottom of the screen. you can also play around with the colors by double clicking on any color.
9. to change the font, move your cursor into the text box and right click and scroll down to text box...it will pop up on top of screen.
10. after you've type in your message, move your cursor out of the box and right or left click...doesn't matter. this will get rid of the box and leave you with just the writing.
make sure you have it the way you want it before you click on it because it's permanent.
