Hey littlecake,

I too just want to tell you that you are an inspiration and a good example of hard-work, sacrifice and hope. I will be watching and listening to see about your future bakery.

Keep that candle inside you burning.... we can all feel the heat!

I really respect you for holding onto your dream, and paying for it up front. Too many ppl would bury themselves in credit card debt to fix up their house/shop, and then not be able to pay up. You are working toward your dream, and then it will be all yours - not the bank's, or the governement... Good luck.

And your shop looks like it has great potential!!

i also noticed that the concrete in the front slopes...i think it would be adorable if you had a wooden porch built on the front.

i wish i lived near you...i'd come over and help =)

Not that I have read the whole thread, but I think that with a paint-job, white building with pink and purple trim, some shutters, a cute porch, and you are all the way in Candyland. Seriously, either Minnie is missing her house, or Strawberry Shortcake is about to move it!!!
Congrats and I can't wait to see the end result!!!

awwww you guys are so sweet!....i'm lovin the awning...and the window boxes.

quick update...i went to the state of oklahoma tax website...i'm thinkin they might let me make payments over the next year....i gotta call the field rep (he's also a customer)...and see what we can do....

if i can....i'll be going forward in a couple of weeks....this is my (kinda) slow season....so i can work on the place a bit over the next few months...roof first tho...i was thinking of doing the front over hang in metal...if it's not too much higher....

THANX FOR ASKING!

well...the state and irs drained my piggy bank...but now i'm finally caught up!

i found a good handy guy....and i'm getting a lil bit more in my piggy bank, so i'll get started soon.....prolly on the front first.....someone threw a big chunk of concrete thru my front window...so i got a huge hole it it, i'm thinking i might do away with most of the big windows...in favor of some vintage paned ones.

one thing i'm learning thru all this is patience ......i'm trying to learn to enjoy the process....

it sure will be nice to not have to pay shop rent every month.

Your shop is going to be so cute and wonderful. (Not to mention your great feeling of being rent free. Wow, what freedom for you.) The added help should move things forward a little faster.

I hate that someone threw the concrete through your front window.
The new vintage windows will be beautiful.

I am so happy for you, and look forward to the continued excitement of seeing your dreams become reality.

I'm glad you are doing okay.
