I need to make plumerias for cupcake toppers...how do i do these? can i make them out of fondant and not gumpaste so people will actually want to eat them. Also, I bought some gum paste flowers for half of the cupcakes...if people eat these will it be okay? Thanks for your help! I need a tutorial or somethin'!

I can't help on the plumeria's but I'll give you a bump since I would like to know too. I used to have a white plumeria tree in my front yard when I lived in HI. Are you doing an Hawaiian themed party?
About the gumpaste, my then 3 y/o son ate 17 gumpaste daisies I had made and although it pained him a bit going to the bathroom, he survived and thought they were "really yummy". HTH

I would think you could use fondant they would just need more drying time. Maybe you could pm the person that made this cake? Wish I could be more help.

Plumeria AKA Frangipani. Can be made out of MMF for toppers. Here's a tutorial http://www.fira.com.au/Frangipani.htm
