Does anyone have any suggestions about what kind of cake to make for a grooms cake instead of german chocolate? I've heard that WASC is good, but would it work for a grooms cake? Help ![]()
Oh, the theme is casino. I'm making a 12 inch round german chocolate, but I'm going to put a set of dice on top, and don't know what flavor to make them.
I've already asked the bride and groom. The only specific they gave was the german chocolate for the 12 inch round, the're leaving the dice up to me.
I'm confused. At first you say you want suggestions for something OTHER than german chocolate, but your next paragraph says that the cake WILL be german chocolate????
There are soooo many filling flavors that go with chocolate! Raspberry, strawberry, coconut, vanilla, mint, cookies n cream, pistachio, almond and more!

Well, this is what I decided to do for my grooms cake. It is a 10 inch double layer square german chocolate cake. Dice are german chocolate with buttercream. All decorations are fondant.
The bride and groom loved the cake so much they didn't cut it at the reception. They were very unhappy with their wedding cake (made by someone else) that they cut and served it. My cake was left standing for decoration. They had another party the day after and served it then.
