icon_eek.gif I have a customer who has a son turning 9. For the party they are going to a place that does science and electrical activities. It's not Mad Science and the kids are only doing electrical projects. Any ideas? She said a regular cake is fine, but that's not very fun for a 9 year old. I can only think of doing trim work that looks like an electrical cord, but I am not even sure how I would do that. I don't even know much about what kinds of tools would be used in an electrical project. It'll just be one tier, probably a 10 inch.
Thanks.

How about a sheet cake with an electrical diagram on it. Some diagrams are very inticate and detailed, but you could do an easy one. Here is a link to a site with very elementary circuits. Perhaps you could make it more 3-D on the cake. Maybe making a light bulb out of fondant and a switch or something. Or instead of a lightbulb, maybe you could make a Neon Sign reading "Happy Birthday". Neon signs need electricity to light up.

Have fun with it.
