I made this cake for a quinceanera on may 17th. I was 30 cakes so each table would get one, plus two 10" round for the head table.
They are 6" chocolate cake with bc decorations, the ribbon on the bottom is the kind you use to make gift bows. The customer brought it. The cake stand was made by the customer's husband. It was a little unstable and it only had "branches" for 16 cakes, so the rest of them had to go on the table.
The best part is I'm being called to quote 40 cakes from someone who went to the party.
i can not let my daughter see this.
this is what she wants for her wedding ...a cake at every table...and she wants a 5 tiered wedding cake with a fountain all done by yours truly. ![]()
what did i say...you're crazy!
lovely cakes btw. you must be really tired! ![]()
how much did you charge?
You won't believe it if I told you, and before I get any angry comments let me tell you I am in Mexico, one dollar is equal to 10.40 pesos.
When people here in CC say they charge $2 dollars per serving you are talking about 20.80 pesos, something people definetly wont pay, you can pick up a small cake at the supermarket for about $3.50 dollars.
Saying that I can tell you I charged $85 pesos for each, that's a lot more than I charge for a normal wedding cake, in total it was 32 cakes because they wanted a couple to be in the head table, so the total of the cake was $2720.00 pesos = $262 dollars (more or less). But I also made cookies an for the cookies they paid about $40.00 dlls. And It was a very good sale for me. And I'm not that cheap you can get a better deal some plece else of course the cake won't be that good but people are still trying to save money.
