How does the ignore list work?

For example, if I put someone on my 'Ignore List' and they attempt to PM me, does it come back to them telling them that they are being ignored?

I put your userid in my ignore list (I take it off in a few days). Try to PM me and see if you get some kind of message. Iâll let you know if I get a message telling me that someone on my ignore list tried to PM me.

I did send a PM, and got a message saying:

You are not authorized to send private messages to this member.

(or something like that).

Did you get anything sayingthat an ignored individual tried to send a message?
