Would it be better to color white fondant maroon or chocolate fondant maroon...

See my avatar - - - to the left - - - - nice color - huh! I started with white fondant and added Americolor gel: maroon, red black and violet and lots of powdered sugar because Satin Ice gets pretty sticky.
